1 in 1000 – Running for Cystic Fibrosis is a unique fundraising campaign started by just six women who want to raise €200,000 to equip the new four bed Cystic Fibrosis isolation unit in Our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin.
The aim is to get at least 1000 women to run, jog, walk or crawl in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on 7th June 2010 and to raise at least €200 each.
1 in 1000 will bring women together for a great cause, raising spirits, awareness, support and a huge sense of achievement that could not be realised by an individual alone. A friend of mine has asked me to get a team of 10 women together and I want you to be part of it.
Do you want to:
Get fit, eat healthy, and achieve a goal?
Be part of a team and have some fun?
Do something for a good cause?
Join 1000 other women to work together towards something that really counts – to improve and extend the lives of children with Cystic Fibrosis.
In the coming months you can train with the 1 in 1000 team. I’ll be posting some healthy eating tips on both my own and www.runningforcf.ie website and you will also find training plans and lot of ideas to help you on your way.
The 1 in 1000 campaign is endorsed by the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland and Our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin.
Join 1 in 1000 and be part of something incredible.
